Very disappointed with southern plus. Our experience was similar to Krishna Boddu ( reviewed ) although we also had a host of other problems, not been supplied the necessary equipment i.e. Hospital bed, wheelchair , table, incorrect sized pads that repeatedly take 3 or more weeks to be delivered.We moved to another provider and the difference is incredible, All equipment supplied within 2days of signing up.

I’ve worked here for 2 years and grateful to work alongside incredible care and nursing staff.

The staff I dealt with were lovely and very professional. I felt a bit of a disconnect between the brochure, website and the actual facility though. Nice to see dogs can visit the residents. Pets are so therapeutic for seniors.

My father is very happy at Southern Plus East Fremantle. The facility is beautiful, but it is the staff that make this a rare gem.

I don’t know where to start! Is it:the constant change of management. 18months there has been 6 different managers but 7 managers as they tried one twice. The current manager is ‘Relief Facility Manager’how vital health concerns such as weight loss and pressure sores are not addressedwhen advocating on behalf of a resident intimidation and bullying is used rather than address these vital health concernsthe constant use and lack of communication of agency. When my mother was dying, each afternoon when leaving at 4:30pm (visiting hours finish) I would request to be called if she deteriorated so that I could be with her. At 3:30 am Tuesday morning my husband received an email stating that my mother had died. After sending an email to the manager 20 minutes later I was called to be informed that it was an agency RN and that my mother had died.Please consider carefully as there is more!

Great staff friendly and felt very homely

Very disappointed in how long it takes Southern Plus to get maintenance done at the house. They have even put maintenance on hold whilst my Dad is in respite care even though there is no mention of this in the Home Care Package Agreement. Will change the service provider when Dad is back at home.

Gorgeous facility and very genuinely caring staff members. I hope to come here in my golden years!

The gentleness and genuine care shown to my wife in her last ten days was amazing. Thank you for the love demonstrated to us all.

They will Eat up your funds very quickly in your home care package with FEES. Cancellation fees if less than a days' notice means paying full cost of the service. Service cost $103.50. Cancellation Fee is $103.50. Nurse charges for unregistered nurse visits. Mother passes away. Email demanding final fees be paid.$480. The debt was around &349 last year. it seems to have blown out to nearly 500$! this year. Heartless. Even CHARGED fees the day before mum passed away! They charged us fees for weeks while mum was in Hosptial. Charged for every day! we ddnt use there services. I tell you what. Il do the sums if i find there is money left in her small estate Il pay the damn final FEES.
